Optima
My occasional blog about optimising life and work is at optima.blog
Games
Here are two card games of mine:
Philosophy
I'm interested in philosophy, Effective Altruism, and similar stuff. My Cambridge University degree dissertation, Agreements, Arguments and Misunderstandings, is below. It's about misunderstandings between people using a word in different senses - e.g. 'robin', which refers to different birds in Britain and America. This can produce various types of ambiguity and misunderstanding, which are difficult or impossible to detect, causing problems in communication, translation, and philosophical debate. (Modesty forbids me from mentioning that the examiners invented a special grade for this dissertation, '1+'.)

Here are two card games of mine:
- Social Climbing
- Whysteria - a variant of Contract Whist (aka Oh Hell) in which players can bid and lead in any order.
